Job DescriptionManufacturing Engineer will design and develop equipment, manufacturing processes, tools and systems to support manufacturing of new or existing product; provide technical services to customers regarding manufacturability of proposed new designs; conduct cost analysis and estimation on new and existing product; conduct product and process analysis on defective products, determine root cause, and implement corrective actions; interface with internal and external customers to determine and synthesize technical needs; develop solutions for customer product and process; and write and set-up BOM and Routes and work instructions for manufactured parts in addition to providing other engineering support for the manufacturing process. Position requires BS Degree in Engineering or equivalent (i.e. major in mechanical, chemical, or material science) and at least 2 years in engineering or equivalent. Preferred experience is in the silica glass development, manufacturing or fabrication.
